Here are the 25 best business jobs for 2015

Insurance agent ranks impressively high on the list of best business jobs.
Insurance agent ranks impressively high on the list of best business jobs.
With our national unemployment rate down to 5.6 percent, job prospects are looking rosier than they have for some time. The U.S. Department of Labor reports that December 2014 saw growth in a number of areas tied to the insurance industry, including professional and business services and healthcare. Better still, it is expected that these will continue to be growth areas in 2015.
Hot on the heels of the most recent jobs report, U.S. News & World Report released theirannual review of the best jobs for the year ahead. They start with the data: Which jobs are projected to have the greatest hiring demand from 2012 to 2022, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics? The top jobs from this list are then selected for ranking in seven other areas: 10-year growth volume, 10-year growth percentage, median salary, job prospects, employment rate, stress level and work-life balance. These factors contribute to a single weighted average score between 0 and 5, and the final list is born.
In the business world, noteworthy positions ranged from support roles to people who sell, perform data analysis, and execute high-level planning and strategy. Insurance agent, ranked No. 12 on last year’s list, moved up several spots, due to steady projected job growth and above average work-life balance. Where are insurance agents happiest? It may be in cities where they make the most: Bloomington, Illinois; Lake County, Illinois; and Framingham, Massachusetts.

Understanding Computer Insurance

Does your home insurance policy include laptop insurance or computer insurance?

Check email and social networks. Work remotely. Browse photos. Check finances. Watch TV and surf.
For many of us, our desktop and laptop computers are now part of our daily lives. Losing a desktop or laptop computer to fire, theft or even a virus represents more than an inconvenience. It can be a life-altering event when photos, financial information and other data are inaccessible, lost or compromised.
That’s why it’s essential to understand whether your home insurance or renters insurance policy includes computer insurance or laptop insurance. Use this checklist to understand your coverage.
  • Devices — Determine the specific types of devices that are covered under your policy. Some policies cover desktops and laptops, but not tablets. Ask whether computer peripherals like printers, scanners and external hard drives are covered.
  • Coverage Amount — By knowing the maximum coverage amounts your home insurance includes, you can determine whether you need additional coverage. Figure out the total coverage that is provided under your policy.
  • Exclusions — Your home insurance policy may restrict your coverage to specific types of losses. For example, if you drop your computer down the stairs, is that covered? What about if you spill water on your laptop? Review your policy to determine whether your computer is covered in the event of a fire, theft, virus or other event.
  • Use — Some home insurance policies will only cover computers used for personal purposes. Other policies will provide some coverage for business use. If you work from home on a personal computer, understanding any use distinctions is particularly important to make sure you are covered.
  • Deductible — If your home insurance policy includes computer insurance, check whether your deductible applies if something happens to your computer, laptop or peripherals.
If your homeowners insurance policy does not provide the coverage you need, you may be able to schedule your computer equipment. Scheduling allows you to increase and broaden the coverage you have through your policy. To do so, you will typically need to provide an itemized list of all computer equipment you own. You can then select a coverage amount. And, you may even be able to choose all-risk coverage, which will cover most losses regardless of the cause, except those specifically excluded from your policy.
Your renters or home insurance company may also offer special insurance packages that cover devices like desktops, laptops or other electronic devices as a group.
Check with your home insurance provider to determine your policy coverage. That’s the first step in determining whether scheduling your computer equipment is the right move for you. Knowing you have adequate computer insurance or laptop insurance  is one more way to ease your mind and know that you can work or surf, worry-free.

Term Life Insurance

Primerica has always been a company that champions the needs of Main Street North Americans. While many other companies have increasingly followed the wealthy market, Primerica continues to focus on ways to help Main Street families become financially independent.

Since our founding in 1977, Primerica has shown families how to protect themselves with affordable term life insurance, instead of more expensive cash value insurance, and how to invest the savings. We call our philosophy “Buy Term and Invest the Difference,” and it has given countless Main Street families the ability to build toward, and achieve, financial independence.
At Primerica, we have always believed that term insurance is the best way to protect working families. Consumer advocates and financial affairs writers agree.
“For most people, term life still offers the best combination of coverage and cost.”1

Primerica’s life companies

  • Paid out $1 billion in death claims in 2012
  • More than $675 billion of life insurance in force
  • Have an A+ (Superior) rating from A.M. Best. Only 15 percent of life insurance companies meet this standard
  • Pay 92% of claims within 14 days

We Do What’s Right

At Primerica, our mission is to “Help families become properly protected, debt free and financially independent.” We always strive to hold our company to the highest ethics and “do what’s right” by our clients.
“Term insurance is pure protection, like fire insurance or auto insurance. Its sole function is to support your family if you die. You can buy large amounts of coverage for modest amounts of money – and big policies are what your spouse and children need.”2
Lives can change in an instant. See how Primerica was there to help pick up the pieces and carry on after unexpected tragedy.

Top 10 Auto Insurance Companies

top-10-auto-insurance-companies
Every car in the country must be insured if it is going to be used on the road; that makes for a very large number of people looking for auto insurance. There are hundreds of insurance companies in every state willing to provide this service, but trying to figure out which ones are the best and deserve one’s attention can be a bit tricky.
There are numerous factors that go towards contributing to the quality of an insurer. Financial strength of a company is frequently over-looked by most insurance shoppers, yet it is a very significant factor. After all, signing up with a financially unstable company may mean that by the time one is involved in an accident and files a claim, the company may be facing bankruptcy and unable to pay. The cost of the policy and customer service is also significant issues. After continuous payment of premiums, one would expect quick and efficient service when it is needed. If one is involved in an accident, being put on hold for ten minutes or told by a machine that “an agent will get back to you as soon as possible” only to find they never take the call can be frustrating! Also, whether the company even has a valid license to operate in the state and sell insurance is another important variable.
According to most consumer guides put out by the government and industry professionals, the following ten auto insurance companies provide the required cover with very competitive prices, are financially sound and have a reputation for being available when required.
